Pomfret Macher Jhol.

Ingredient :

1) Pomfret - 2 Large size.

2) Tomato - 2 Large size.

3) Garlic Paste - 11/2 Tsp.

4) Slit Red Chilly - 2 Nos.

5) Turmeric Powder - 11/2 tsp.

6) Red Chilly Powder -  Tsp.

7) Salt to taste.

8) Kalonji - 1/4 Tsp.

9) Coriander Leaves - 2 Tbsp.

10) Mustard oil for cooking.

Procedure : 

1) Clean and wash the fish . Keep it dry .Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder. Keep it aside for few mins. Meanwhile make a fine paste of the tomatoes.

2) Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish till all the side becomes light golden brown. Keep it aside.

3) In the another pan add 3 tsp of  mustard  oil . Temper with kalonji. Now add the tomato paste.

4) Saute it for few mins, then add garlic paste. Mix it well, when the raw smell of the garlic goes off add red chilly and turmeric pdr. Saute the masala for few mins.

5) When the masala oozes out oil add 2 cups of water and salt to taste.

6) Boil it for 5-6 mins then add the fish pieces.  After 2-3 mins add slit red chilly and chopped coriander leaves. keep it cover for few more mins. Serve hot with steam rice.
