Tomato Chutney

Ingredient :

1) Tomato - 4 Nos.

2) Black Mustard - 1/4 Tsp.

3) Dry Red Chilly - 1 Nos.

 4) Tamarind  Paste - 1 Tbsp.

5) Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp.

6) Red Chilly Powder - 1/4 Tsp.

7) Salt to Taste.

8) Jaggery as required.

9) Mustard oil - 1 Tsp.

Procedure : 

1) Wash the tomato and chopped them.

2) In a pan add oil , temper with black mustard and dry red chilly .

3) Add chopped tomato, turmeric and red chilly powder , mix it well and cover it with a lid.

4) After 3-4 mins  Tamarind  Paste  and salt . Mix it well and add 2 cups of water .

5) Add jaggery and cover it for few mins. When it become little bit thick remove it from stove.
Serve it on room temperature.

  2. Jaggery is concentrated product of dates, cane juice or palm sap without separation of the molasses and crystals , and can very from golden brown to dark brown in color.
