Chicken Rosha with Posto Gravy



Ingredient :

1) Chicken Pieces - 500 gm.

2) Onion - 4 Medium (Chopped).

3) Green Chilly - 4 Nos.

4) Poppy Seeds - 4 Tbsp.

5) Grated Coconut - 2 Tbsp.

6) Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch.

7) Cloves - 2 Nos.

8) Cardamoms - 2 Nos.

9) Garlic - 5 Cloves.

10) Ginger - 1/2 Tsp.

11) Salt to Taste.

12) Oil - 5 Tbsp.

13) Red Chilly Powder - 1 Tsp.

14) Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp.

15) Cumin Powder - 1/2 Tsp.

16) Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.

17) Coriander Leaves Chopped -  2 Tbsp.

18) Water as Required.

Procedure : 

1) Make a fine paste of Poppy seeds, Green chilly, grated  coconut , Ginger, Garlic ,Cinnamon Stick and cloves mixing with little bit water. Keep it aside.

2) Heat oil in a pan. When oil get hot add chopped onion and cook them until it change its color.

3) Now add cleaned chicken pieces and mix it well. After 1-2 mins add  red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin and coriander powder, mix it well.

4) Fry this chicken  for 8- 10 mins or until it change its color.

5) Then add poppy paste and mix it well . Fry this for another 6-8 mins.

6) Now add water  ( depending  how much gravy you want ) and salt as per your taste . Cover it and cook until chicken become tender and soft . At last add chopped coriander leaves .

7) Serve hot with plain rice or roti.
