Purvora Potal (Stuffed Pointed Gourd).


 
Ingredient 

1) Potal (Parval) - 10 Nos.

2) Grated Potato - 1/2 Cup.

3) Raisin(Kismis) - 10 Nos.

4) Red Chilly Powder - 2 Tsp.

5) Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp.

6) Green Chilly Chopped - 2 Nos.

7) Garam masala Powder - 1 Tsp.

8) Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp.

9) Chat Masala - 1 Tsp.

10) Onion Chopped - 2 Nos.

11) Salt to Taste .

12) Roasted Peanut Powder - 2 Tbsp.

13) Cumin Seeds - 1/4 Tsp.

14) Oil For Cooking .

15) Ghee - 2 Tbsp.

16) Coriander Leaves - 3 Tbsp.

Procedure : 

1) Peel the skin of Patal (Parval) and scoop out the seeds.

2) Heat oil  in pan , add chopped onion saute it for few mins. Then  add grated potato, seeds of parval , raisins, salt , turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder, chopped green chilly mix it well.  Cover it and   saute this mixture until potato is cooked.

3) When the mixture is cooked add roasted peanut powder and mix it well. Switch off the gas. Keep it aside.

4) After the mixture is cool down , stuff the mixture into the parval.

5) Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seed . Then arrange the stuffed parval and cover it and cook it in a very slow flame.

6) When the parval become soft sprinkle garam masala, chat masala and coriander leaves.  You can add few drops of lemon juice. Serve hot with rice or roti.
