Mango Chutney (Amer chutney)

Ingredient :

1) Raw Mango - 2 Medium Size .

2) Black Mustard - 1/4 Tsp.

3) Whole Dry Red chilly - 2 Nos.

4) Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp.

5) Red Chilly Powder - 1/4 Tsp.

6) Salt To Taste.

7) Jaggery as required (Adjust as per the sourness of the mango.)

8) Roasted Sesame seed powder .

9) Mustard oil - Tbsp.

Procedure:

1) Peel and Finely chopped the mangoes.

2) Heat oil in a pan . Temper it with black mustard and whole dry red chilly.

3) Then add chopped mangoes and mix it well. Add salt , red chilly and turmeric powder. Cover it for few mins on low heat.

4) After 4-5 mis the raw mango becomes soft then add 2 cups of water and jaggery . Mix it well  .
Cook it for 5-6 mins .

5) Now add roasted Sesame seed powder( it make it little bit thick and gives a very good flavour)

6) Cook it for 3-4 mins, if the chutney become too thick add little warm water , mix it  slightly.

7) This chutney is not too thick nor too watery. It is semi thick type. Remove the mango chutney in a bowl.
serve this sweet and sour mango chutney at room temperature .
