Muri Ghonto (Fish Head Curry)

Ingredient : 

1) Fish head : 4 pieces. (cleaned)

2) Potato - 2 Nos. ( Medium )

3) Onion Chopped - 2 Nos.

4) Rice (Ghobindobhug) - 1/4 Cup.(soaked in water) 

5) Green Chilly - 3 (slit).

6) Ginger Garlic paste - 1 Tsp.

7) Bay Leaf - 2 Nos.

8)  Green Cardamon - 4 nos.

9) Cinnamon stick - 1 piece.

10) Clove - 4 Nos.

11) Turmeric Powder - 1.1/2 Tsp.

12) Red Chilly Powder - 1 Tsp.

13) Coriander Powder - 2 Tsp.

14) Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp.

15) Garam masala Powder -  2 tsp.

16) Salt To Taste.

17) Refine Oil - 5 Tbsp.

18) Water As Required.

Procedure:

1) Marinate the fish head with turmeric and salt for few mins. 

2) Heat oil in a pan , and fry the fish head very well. Also Fry the potato . keep it aside.

3) In the same a pan add bay leaf, cinnamon stick , cloves saute it for few mins , then add  soaked rice and fry for another couple of mins.Then add  chopped onion and little bit salt. When the onion chenges it color add ginger garlic paste. Cook until raw smell goes off . Add all the dry Spices execpt garam masala  mixing with little water . 

4) Saute this masala until it oozes oil , add fried potato and slit green chilly . Then add water to this masala and cover it with a lid for about 10-15 mins in medium heat. 

5)  When the rice and potato are cooked well then add fried fish head pieces. Cook it for another 5-7 mins. 
when the gravy reaches desire consistency add garam masala , mix it slightly. Serve this Muri Ghonto with Steamed Plain Rice.
