Ingredient :
1) Mosuri
dal – 100gm
2) Onion 2-3 Medium Size(Chopped).
3) Ginger-Garlic Paste 2 Tsp
4) Green Chilly 2-3( Chopped)
5) Turmeric
powder 1 Tsp
6) Coriander Powder 2 Tsp
7) Red chili powder 1 Tsp (as per your taste)
8) Garam masala - 1.1/2 Tsp
9) Tomato 2 Small (Chopped)
10) Salt
to Taste
11) Dry Red Chilly 2
12) Water
as Required
13) Oil 2 Tbsp
14) Chopped
coriander leaves.
Procedure :
1) Soak
the mosuri dal for 1 hour. In a pressure
cooker cook the dal with 2 to 3 cups of water adding little salt , chopped
green chilly, half tomato chopped, and ½ tsp turmeric powder. After 2-3 whistle
off the gas.
2) After few mins
remove the lid. Dal should be cook very well.( but not to watery )
3) Heat
oil in non stick pan . add cumin seeds, and dry red chilly.
4) When
cumin seed sputters add chopped onion and
sauté until it change its color.
5) Then
add ginger-garlic paste. Cook until
raw flavor of garlic gone .
6) Add chopped tomato , mix it well. Cook 2- 3 mins.
7) Add coriander
powder, red chilly powder, and ¼ tsp of turmeric .mix it well.
8) When
masala get cooked add cooked dal along with the liquid.
9) Add salt.
Add water if you need.
10) When
dal comes to gravy consistency add garam masala.
11) Mix it
well. Now add chopped coriander leaves
.
12) Serve
hot with rice or plain roti .
